Privacy policy

Hermit Crab Simulator is provided by Keller Creations. This policy explains the current iPhone and iPad game’s handling of information.

Information stored on your device

The game stores terrarium progress, crab names, preferences, coin balances, purchase-delivery records, and terms acceptance with your save. No game account is required. Do not use sensitive personal information as a crab name.

Optional iCloud backup

If you choose iCloud backup, your terrarium save is sent to Apple’s iCloud service under your own account. Importing replaces your local terrarium. Keller Creations does not operate a server that receives these backups. Apple’s services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Purchases

Apple processes optional coin-pack payments. The game receives product and transaction information needed to deliver coins and prevent duplicate credit. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple may provide developers with sales and financial reports through App Store Connect.

Photos and reminders

With your permission, the game adds terrarium images to your photo library. It does not read your existing library. Feeding reminders use local notifications rather than a developer-operated push service. You may change these permissions in device settings. If you share an image using another service, that service handles the shared image under its own policy.

No advertising or analytics SDKs

The current game includes no advertising or third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not use the game to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Support messages

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use it to respond and resolve your request, and retain it only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Email is handled through our email provider. Do not send passwords, card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Your choices

You may play without iCloud backup, photo access, or reminders. Deleting the app removes its local data; an existing iCloud backup may remain in your Apple account. Contact us for help with privacy requests or backup removal. We cannot recover a save that was not backed up.

Children and families

The game does not require a child’s name, email address, or profile. A parent or guardian should supervise optional purchases and review the game’s terms where required. Contact us if a child has sent personal information to support that should be removed.
